Beside the unit list there are two more: Unit Sprites and Pure Sprites. All three put something on the map and look similar in game, but they can do different things.
| 유닛 | An ordinary unit: triggers can count it, order it and kill it. |
|---|---|
| Unit Sprite | The same list as units. It selects with a rectangle rather than a circle, and you can set its owner. |
| Pure Sprite | A pure graphic that is not a unit at all - terrain decoration and effects live here. |
Unit Sprites have one real use: putting neutral buildings in a melee map. A melee map only allows start locations, Player 12's resources and critters - but place a Unit Sprite owned by Player 12 and you get a neutral building.
It has to be neutral. Placed under another player it does not come out as intended when the map runs as melee.
Double-clicking a Unit Sprite toggles Inactive and Active. Inactive is the default; Active produces a different oddity for every unit - uncontrollable, stuck repeating one motion, or invisible altogether.
Turning a sieged Siege Tank or a Goliath Unit Sprite Active hangs the editor on the spot, and saving in that state leaves a map file you cannot reopen - the whole thing is gone. Never set those two Active.
