Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of scrmaps.com (the "Service"), operated by an individual (the "Operator"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What SCRMaps Is

SCRMaps is a free, curated directory where StarCraft: Remastered map creators can showcase and share maps they made. SCRMaps is an independent, fan-operated project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. StarCraft and Battle.net are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Service, and you must be at least 13 years old. The Service is not directed at children under 13.

3. Accounts

You sign in with your Battle.net account and choose a unique site nickname. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep one account per person - do not create multiple accounts, and do not impersonate another person or creator.

4. Your Content

You keep ownership of any map, description, comment, or other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting it, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and make Your Content available for download for the purpose of running the Service.

Only upload maps you made yourself. SCRMaps is not an anonymous map archive - uploading someone else's work without permission is a violation of these Terms and can get your account banned.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the rights to share, or content containing malware
• Harass, impersonate, or threaten other users
• Post spam, or abuse the report/moderation tools
• Infringe anyone's intellectual property rights
• Attempt to bypass account, storage, or sign-up limits
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's normal operation

6. External Links

Project listings may include links you provide (a website, Patreon, or an external download link for maps too large to host directly). These links point to third-party sites we do not control or vet - you follow them at your own risk, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

7. Moderation and Termination

We may remove content, or suspend or ban an account, at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe these Terms have been violated. You can stop using the Service at any time; you may request deletion of your account through our Contact page.

8. Storage and Sign-Up Limits

Accounts are subject to a combined storage quota and the Service may cap the total number of accepted sign-ups. These limits, and the values in effect, may change at the Operator's discretion.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, that content will be preserved indefinitely, or that uploaded files are free of viruses or malware - download and run any file at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are intended to be interpreted under generally applicable principles of contract law. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including Canada, the United States, or the Republic of Korea.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
